What to Expect:
Day 1: First Flights - Mastering the Basics (Approx. 4 hours)
The first day is all about building a solid foundation. We focus on safety, understanding the new equipment, and getting you comfortable with the feeling of the foil before you take sustained flights.
- Morning Session: Land & Shoreline (1.5 hours)
- Gear Introduction: Meet your new wings! A detailed breakdown of the foil (mast, fuselage, front/rear wings) and the specialized board and sail.
- Safety Briefing: Essential safety protocols, handling the foil on land, and how to fall safely away from the equipment.
- The Theory of Flight: Simple, effective explanations of how a hydrofoil generates lift, and how your body weight and sail trim control your altitude.
- Dry Land Simulation: On-land drills to practice the body movements for getting the board to lift off and stabilize.
- Afternoon Session: On the Water (2.5 hours)
- Taxiing: First, you'll learn to sail without lifting off. Get a feel for the board's sensitivity and how to steer with the foil still in the water.
- Pumping & Pressure Control: We'll teach you the techniques to gently pump the sail and shift your weight to create initial lift.
- First "Hops": Experience your first exhilarating moments of flight! You'll practice short, controlled lift-offs and touchdowns, learning to manage your ride height.
- Instructor Feedback: Constant on-water coaching to correct your stance and technique.
Day 2: Sustained Flight & Control (Approx. 4 hours)
Building on the skills from Day 1, today is all about achieving longer, controlled flights. You'll gain confidence, improve your technique, and truly start to feel like you're flying.

- Recap & Goal Setting: Reviewing Day 1 concepts and setting personal goals for sustained flight.
- Advanced Trim: Understanding how to use the sail and your body to control speed and height while flying.
- Warm-up "Taxi" Runs: Getting back on the water with a few non-foiling runs to get reacquainted with the gear.
- Afternoon Session: Extended Flying (3 hours)
- Achieving Sustained Flight: The main event! We'll guide you to get up on the foil and stay there, flying in a straight line for longer and longer distances.
- Altitude Control: Mastering the fine movements needed to fly level, and to gently ascend and descend without crashing.
